Installations of CEL-FI QUATRA are subject to a network approval process.
The CEL-FI QUATRA Coverage Unit (CU) connects to a Network Unit (NU – sold separately) and is responsible for rebroadcasting Telstra mobile service. Each CU connects to the NU using an ordinary Cat-5e or Cat-6 Ethernet cable which supplies both the digital signal and DC power via PoE.
Each Telstra CU may be placed up to 100 metres from the NU by standard but can be extended to 200 metres using an optional PoE extender which is ideal for very large building sizes. For tunnel and underground mining operations, CU may be connected up to 2 kilometres away using a Fibre Range Extender.
Each QUATRA CU provides up to an incredible 22 dBm downlink power, providing a huge coverage footprint from each and every unit. Telstra QUATRA supports 2×2 MIMO (2T2R) and carrier aggregation for maximum data speeds.
CEL-FI QUATRA is a hybrid DAS solution for delivering high-performance in-building cellular coverage. It operates in off-air mode and combines the best of active DAS and patented CEL-FI technologies that have been widely adopted by network operators around the world. QUATRA is network safe, designed for maximum UE spectral efficiency while protecting network hygiene.
FEATURES:
- CU’s provides coverage within the building (up to four per Network Unit)
- Self-configuring and self-optimising
- Telstra 3G (850MHz)
- Telstra 4G (700/ 1800/ 2600MHz)
- 2T2R MIMO on 700 & 2600MHz
- 75 MHz of channel bandwidth supporting up to four bands simultaneously
- Coverage Units (up to four) are powered from the NU using PoE
- 2x QMA optional service antenna ports (MIMO or SISO)
